MANAGEMENT BUYOUT AT STANDARD ENGINEERING

Seven years after the first management buyout at Standard Engineering a second management buyout has placed the company in an ideal position for future development serving the multiservice trade.

The new company is now owned equally by Tony Law, Keith Malyon and Iain Holliday. Brian Sperryn remains with the company as a non-executive director.

It has been a hectic 6 months for Standard Engineering. Not only has the company completely restructured its management, but they have also moved into a modern manufacturing premises within sight of junction 7 of the A14 in Kettering. With such excellent road and rail links (less than an hour away from London by train) many customers have taken advantage and come to our showroom to try out our machines,

Not that Standard are prepared to rest on their laurels. The next few years will see the introduction of a significant number of new products for the industries where they operate. Further evidence of their commitment to their staff, products and of course customers.
Standard is, of course, the U.K.’s only producer of new shoe repair machinery. Whilst they can offer refurbished machines they can also build new, highly specified machines to YOUR requirements.

Standard has invested heavily in supporting and improving the existing products manufactured by Standard and Whitfield over the last 25 years. They can offer the customer unparalleled knowledge in engineering, and the support of properly trained staff who ensure that both new and reconditioned machines are safe and reliable. This is an important issue in these days of increasing Health and Safety awareness.

In our Sales Director Keith Malyon we have a real shoe repairer with almost 30 years experience in the trade. He understands what today’s operator / owner is looking for and speaks the language of repairers!

The new team is very positive about Standard Engineering’s continuing contribution to the industry. Watch this space as Standard roll out the new ideas and new solutions to suit all budgets.
